Who is the Heroine of Charmsukh Salahkar?
In the picture book, Charmsukh Salahkar by Dr. Vandana Sankaran, there are many characters with unique personalities and talents; however, it is the heroine who sticks out most in my mind. The story starts off with Charmsukh Salahkar, or Charmsukh, being bored with his daily life and wishing that something interesting would happen to him soon.
About Charmsukh
In her free time, she loves to create music, make movies and spend time with her friends. You can watch out for more to come from Charmsukh on the Ullu web series. You can also follow her on Instagram or Snapchat (charmsukh).
Aarzoo
In the Ullu web series, Aarzoo is a small-town girl who belongs to an orthodox family. She has been brought up with traditional values. Her mother wants her to become a housewife after marriage but she wants to pursue her career. She can cook well but is not interested in household work. In some way she is a feminist because she doesn’t believe in gender-based roles, both husband and wife should do household work equally like boys and girls have equal responsibility for maintaining the home. Even though women doing different works are criticized by society still Aarzoo believes that it’s our freedom to choose any profession we want to pursue.
Sahiba
It's Sahiba, she plays a double role in the Ullu web series. She gave her appearance as Ruhi in season one and Suhani in season two. Her presence is certainly required for any ullu series. The online gaming world started looking for different games like Candy Crush and crossed it with Shivai to get a brilliant game like Ullu. This super simple game involves getting golden eggs by crushing chicks as well as puppies using your mouse to drag them into groups of three or more identical ones.

Mahalakshmi
As The Goddess Lakshmi, Mahalakshmi is considered a symbol of prosperity and fortune. Her most notable quality, however, is that she bestows prosperity upon those who deserve it. She continues to delight devotees with her various appearances in India’s great epics such as Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as being worshipped in several temples throughout India.
Veena - The first love interest in his life
Veena had already been married to him. He meets her after he completes his graduation in New Delhi and moves to Mumbai for further studies. They do not get a chance to meet often but they use to write letters back and forth. Eventually, he marries Veena, as her husband was involved in criminal activities and was sent to jail for one year, during which she got pregnant. When Vikram returns from the U.S., both Veena & Veer go missing mysteriously without leaving any clues behind them.
Then there was someone else!
It seems all we ever hear about these days are women who have been abused or mistreated by men. On top of that, most films and novels that feature a heroine who gets revenge for her abuse seem to end with a horrific murder scene. I know it’s cathartic for victims to see that happen in films, but wouldn’t it be more empowering to read about a woman using different tactics altogether? Or at least have an open mind as to what could be done in order to reach true justice without taking matters into one’s own hands? In Charmsukh Salahkar, we get just such a character: Preeti Jain.
